HANOI, July 11, 2018 – We are deeply disappointed that an appeals court upheld the convictions of Vu Quang Thuan, Nguyen Van Dien, and Tran Hoang Phuc under the vague charge of “propaganda against the State.” We call on Vietnam to release these individuals and all other prisoners of conscience immediately, and to allow all individuals in Vietnam to peacefully express their political views without fear of retribution.
